thanks for elaborating on the issue SSG, when put into that context, it seems a lot more reasonable.

interestingly, i could have got all my military gear through my dad for free but he actually had an even more extreme stance, as far as he was concerned, nobody, even military, should wear military uniforms of any kind, even just a pair of DPM pants on the weekend... unless on duty. but thats because of fears of being identified as a soldier by the IRA. having served in Northern Ireland he's a little sensitive about that...
