Default Have you made your own Gun?

Has anyone here actually created their own working airsoft gun? Any tips on accomplishing this feat? Thanks for any information

did you build it out of parts you made yourself or purchase all the parts and put them together?

Did you use household items as material or use machines and steel?

I've put together an AEG from parts I had from other AEG's. I didn't fabricate my own parts, though.

My Dad chopped down an M16 barrel for me to shorten my M16 a while back. Shortly thereafter I replaced the barrel with an SR16 outerbarrel and RIS.

I've put screws in certain parts of my RIS on my M4 to stop the RIS from wobbling around, if that counts.

I machined everything out of aluminum barstock and a piece of steel tubing for the outer. and i make my own AEG's from others all the time. i don't think that counts. all of my guns are modded in some way or form like that.

I feel it's a tad hard to fabricate aluminum parts when I don't have the aluminum or the machinary to do such a thing... heck, I don't have the skills, either.

sorry, that was pretty rude. i didn't mean it that way. i suppose if you take the time and effort to customize your gun, it very well could be building your own gun. i was just in a bad mood. sorry. i have built a G3 SAS,a Steyr Aug, the sniper rifle that i machined, which is a model of the winchester model 700 rifle. i have also a few pistols that i have worked on, and am working right now on a fully automatic gas Glock 17. i also am working on a either motion detector or radio controlled aeg.

Nah, I didn't find it rude, I was just saying I don't have the resources to do anything like you've done.

Tis why I added the smiley
