DefaultWhat in the bloody hell is bucking...

So I was just messing around, looking at various forums (I'm a traitor...) and I saw a discussion about a JG G36. One guy on there was talking about how you'd have to fix the bucking or something like that on a JG every 30k rounds or so as compared to not having to on higher end guns. What is this? Let's put it this way: I would understand how to field strip a gun and clean the barrel after every use. I am however not familiar with the hop-up. Some say you have to clean this after every so many rounds and then re-lube it. This I'm sure I could figure out, and would probably do after every so many rounds. BUT, I have no knowledge of the gearbox. If I was to put in a high precision barrel I'm sure that I would also figure that out but my question is what do you have to do to your gearbox every however many rounds? Or, more importantly: what is bucking? Would I be able to take apart a gearbox and get it back together after cleaning without any knowledge of the internals? What should I do to my AEG's gearbox after say 50k rounds? A full run-down on the last three questions listed would be fantastic.

Check out this video: Mechbox.com | Airsoft repair and upgrades Blog Archive G36C Disassembly

And this video: Mechbox.com | Airsoft repair and upgrades Blog Archive G36C Reassembly

This guide for disassembling the gearbox: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/articles/skyfire/mechbox/mechbox3/mb3dismb.htm

Use only 100% silicone oil for cleaning your barrel. Use the un-jamming rod that comes with your gun and put toilet paper (or anything else soft like that) on the end, just put a slight spray of silicone oil on, and stick it down your barrel pull it out, get new toilet paper and put silicone oil on again, and repeat those steps till the toilet paper comes out clean.

I'll post some more information up later.

Hope that helped.

That helped a lot. I'll check out the videos now. Oh, and I do exactly that when cleaning barrel etc.

Link #3 does not work, says this: "The requested URL /articles/skyfire/mechbox/mechbox3/mb3dismb.html was not found on this server." I assume the disassembly of the G36 is similar on all AEGs?
