DefaultBB Ballistics

while digging around looking for high performance BB's, i found a document from an independent ballistics research lab commissioned by Bioval to test their BBBMAX against the market leaders of both plastic and biodegradable BB's. it is the most comprehensive study of BB's as airsoft ammunition i have ever seen, they have performed every test imaginable in a scientifically controlled environment.

i urge everybody that is serious about BB performance to read it and download it (be warned, there is a lot of information... 50 pages!) but lots of graphs, photos and diagrams, very informative...

Defaultwhat bb's?

Hello, this is my 1st response to an airsoft forum.(never done this before..)
I'm not sure if this would go in a different category or not, but i was planning on getting the Well L96 sniper rifle. I was reading reviews, they said only to use .20 and higher, and that .12's would break the gun... Somebody want to clarify that for me? Please and thanks. I am a beginner also, if the L96 is a bad choice for target practicing and playing 1v1 with a friend, let me know. As I get older, I will get more and more into airsoft. Thank you.

Yes .12s are basically crap and should be avoided 100% at all costs even if it means no BBs and no playing. This also goes with picking up used BBs etc.
For a bolt action you probably want .25s or something atleast as the wieght gives better accuracy at range.
Wrong place to post buddy. Just letting you know.
