Knee Pads

What would you recommend as far as knee pads? I'm torn between some skateboarding hard shell knee pads and some volleyball knee pads. The volleyball knee pads would provide less protection, but would provide me more freedom of motion. Also, they could get wet and that might be gross. The skateboarding knee pads are a little more expensive, but they may be overkill, considering I've gone without kneepads before, and for the most part I didn't really miss them. But with the hard shell knee pads, I wouldn't have to worry about anything.

Also, what are your thoughts about how to wear them? I'm probably going to go inside my pants, but some of my teammates have theirs outside (theirs are an OD color, I'm just going for cheap so I'll probably have multicolored or plain black or white). I'm not sure if there is a way anybody prefers.

I have three pairs of Bijan's: ACU, coyote brown, and woodland. I love them to bits.

i only tried neepads once and hated usin them they restrict runnin and are more uncomfortable then a nice big gash in my knee

aren't there like "tactical" kneepads (not bijan) that you can get for like $10?Tactical kneepads

I got the Bijan kneepads and they worked great for me.

i still say knee pads are only useful if your a sniper or somethin that doesn't move around much

otherwise in my opinion buck up and take the pain like a man(or woman lol)

Oh you'd be surprised at how hard people hit the dirt... such as myself. My knees are jacked up enough as it is with out my mashing them into the ground lol

I think that no matter what sport you get into that safety should be your priority,,,,come off a mountain bike with no head gear and you will know all about it,,,,same for airsoft,,,knee first onto a sharp rock,,,and you might think it will never happen,but it could up end your life as you know it,,,i made the mistake lifting two truck battery's two years ago,,,ah sure i only hav to lift them from hear to there,,,,i hav been fubar ever since then,,,,comes down to the same thing,,,if id done it right,,then my life over the last two years could hav been a lot easier,,,,in a nut shell i s'pose what im trying to say is that from what ive read' a couple of you guy's hav good football career's,,,it would be an awful shame to cut that career short because you found something on the airsoft feild to be uncomfortable,,,,,,,just my thought's,,,,oh and yes i allways wear them
