Default Hello everybody.

So I finally decided to pack all my paintball gear into the closet and picked up a JG Tactical AK47 from Cragislist for dirt cheap.

I've done some research on this thing, finally found out what brand it was because I bought it used without the box and I had no idea who made it. And watching some videos on this thing, I think I am missing the hop-up adjuster, I pull the slide back and it looks like I am missing that piece.

I charged up the battery and did some dry firing, and it seems to operate normally, I ordered some ammunition for it and it will be here in a few days.

My questions are:

What is the purpose of the hop-up adjuster?

Where can I get replacement parts, such as listed above?

The bi-pod and scope will be coming off because it looks really lame. lol

DON'T DRY FIRE!!! It's bad for the piston etc.

The only dry fire should be when you take the mag out and fire twice on semi-auto to clear the gun and reset the spring.

The hop-adjust is to adjust the hop-up...

Replacement part wise - any TM compatible AK parts should work.

Yeah, I figured dry firing isn't a good thing, that's why I only did a couple shots.

Any recommended websites for getting replacement parts?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Evike's cool as far as parts go, just because they have so many.

If your from paintball, then you know what a Flatline barrel setup is. The hopup is kinda like that. It puts backspin on the BB to make it fly straighter and farther, like the flatline barrel does for paintballs. When you have an airsoft gun with adjustable hop up, you can adjust how much backspin is being put on the BB and "tune" it in for maximum distance and effectivenss.

Ah, thanks. I'm a Autococker guy. Never cared too much for Tippmanns. But I understand what you're talking about.
