yay you.. 100 more to a cool sticker. By the way, why would a higher mass of object fly a further distance with the same thrust? Was just wondering if there's a few physics buffs out there lol.

Why do you want to know? I couldn't help you, though. I would if I could. (Notice I am a senior member now.)

I want to know because I noticed higher mass BB's fly further than the lower ones. (like .25's fly much further than .12's)

this is my opinion-

airsoft snipers lack two of your three components

1 range-
as you said an airsoft gun will never have great accuracy,

2 communications-

i only play small games (10-12 people)

but every time i play 3-4 people bring their snipers, they just sit back, do nothing, and become a complete liability to the team...

i will radio them, ask them what they see
and they say "nothing yet, just keep moving up" as they are sitting safe on to of a hill 150- yards away...


airsoft snipers are USUALLY noobs and terrible players with huge egos... i am not saying this to a individual, just players who believe a good gun will buy skill

if you imagine trying to throw a ping pong ball and a squash ball (two balls of similar size but very different mass...), which do you think would go further if you used the same force to throw them? larger mass stores more kinetic energy requiring more opposing force to to counter that kinetic energy.
