This is a honest opinion from a G&G fan.
In my opinion. I think the combat machines are the best bang for buck you can get. I run all my M4s (except one) on the combat machine platform and nothing has gone wrong with any of them stock. On one of em, I did upgrade the spring and change the motor for more power and it's held perfectly for 10,000+ rds. My current main m4 (lauren) <3 had some issues when I first put it together but that was because of motor placement, but other then that, I think the combat machines are a really good alternatives to cheap chinese clones.
G&G is well known for not having really powerful guns. I think theyre starting to change that, but when they first came out with with the CM series, things were shooting 310fps max. now its around 360fps (taken off of laurens chrono).
If you don't want a combat machine. I've been hearing a lot of praise for the ICS sportline series. JG is always a good one since it's a staple company for newer players. Echo 1 is the same thing as JG with a 30day warranty and nothing else except a $50 price increase. The only Echo 1 gun I own is an MP5 because it was the same price as the JG one so at least I got a 30 day warranty ^_^
One gun I would personally recommend this gun if you are willing to spend the extra $30

It's a really good gun. Heavier and feels beefier than a CM. Mine shoots around 350fps with an M110 spring (stock spring) and it's a pretty nice gun for the price, PLUS you get an intellect battery. Though idk about the new ones since I got mine when they just came out so mine doesnt have the trades like you see in the link above.
