Hello guys,
I need some help finding realistic blowback shell ejecting airsoft guns for use as movie props.
Im specificly looking for M4, AK style rifles and glock, or 1911 style handguns.
We need about 10 of each.
I’ve seen some from g&p or top japan but they are discontinued.
Does anyone know where I could buy them new or used? Or anything close to those type of guns?
Any help will be much appreciated!
Thanks.

Thanks Norsman,
I wish it were that simple.
There are a bunch of costs that go along with using blanks on a film (specifically in California)
It requires us to have a full-time armor, fire marshal, water truck equipped to fight fires, prop master, special-effects supervisor and stunt coordinator. All to be on set at the time blanks or anything firing powder of any kind are being used.

If we used airsoft. We would only be required to have a prop master and stunt coordinator on set.
That would save a massive amount of money per day. Not including the fringes and other union costs that happen on the production side that most people are not aware of.

Except for the fact that shell ejecting Airsoft guns are very very rare and very very expensive. I'm not so sure that using blank fire is the more expensive option here.

There is another option that is cheaper. The shells are not correct, they are short, and the bolt does not reciprocate. But the shells do eject. I used to be a dealer for them, they are called RAM4. They shoot .43 cal paintball rounds or rubber training balls. Shells are metallic or plastic, make sure your getting metallic.

Some of their products are non shell ejecting and or .68 cal paintball. So be careful.

I think you are going to have trouble getting the guns in those numbers.

Some of the long guns are going to be more than $750 each. Plus you have to consider sourcing the extra cases.

Have you considered simunition or UTM? We train with it a lot and simply swap out the BCG for M4 on our duty rifles. Same magazines are used. Glock sells dedicated simunition Glocks and there are UTM conversion kits available. There are multiple types too (man-marker projectile, blank, etc.)

It will be probably save money and you can get most of your money back out when you are done by selling second hand.

Why not just CGI in shells flying out? It will be cheaper than a $900.00, shipped TOP M4, there are no AK's that eject a shell either in an AEG.

Only MGC makes shell ejecting pistols and there is not much of those units either...in the last 6 years. They all came out around 2012....

It would be rather amusing if you shot the moving with shell ejecting springers...Super 9, JG Beta Spez, Daisey Model 59...
