Hey so I run a p* F2 currently have a 259mm barrel or close too. I want to upgrade to 300mm or a 395mm which would be be better and would I notice any difference? I would have a maxx hop unit with a PDI w-hold/Modify Flat Hop bucking

Barrel quality and hop up type matters more than overall length.

The ideal hop results in less skipping. A bb rolls along the top of the bore most of the way. If the bb doesn't stabilize before leaving the bore a longer barrel can help, but it's been tested that the bb only skips a few inches after a traditional hop. So a flat or r hop would be even less.

I would say that either of the longer barrels would be just a tiny tiny bit better than the 259mm.

But barrel ID matters too. A wider barrel will be more accurate than a tight bore. In my opinion tight bores are more idea for aegs when air volume is limited.

I would either go with a very wide bore barrel or a laylax 6.03.

Lambda and pdi also make decent barrels. But in my experience aren't as smooth inside. They have micro ripples most wouldn't notice. Maybe I'm too OCD, but that's my 2 cents.

Also you have a full flat hop setup basically, when you get a barrel you should try one of the Elvish tac r hop patchs. It's literally drop in for 10 bucks.

^That....

And what Americans don't know and what all of "Core" Airsofters in Asia does now. Tighter is not better. 6.08mm is the standard in Asia and 6.05mm is what most of them go to for the tightest now...

And the advantage of a 300mm barrel over your 259mm barrel if all things are equal. You would be 41mm closer to your target.

That's cool to know that you in Asia 6.05 is tight bore there.

They actually have 6.00 in some custom Japanese shops. And 6.01 is not uncommon, but with the variances in BB's not being consistent on the same bb. A larger air cushion is needed to minimize barrel turbulence and that gap is around .08mm (minimum) for lumpy low grade to mediocre grade bbs. High Grade like SGM or Azimuth...you can get away with .03mm.

Since most bbs are 5.97mm, 6.05mm is the new tbb norm in Asia.
