Airsoft is a sport/recreational military and urban combat simulation
activity in which participants eliminate opponents by hitting each other
with spherical plastic 6mm round pellets commonly known as "BBs
launched via replica firearms. Airsoft guns are the exact copies of the
actual guns; some manufacturers even use real mould of the originals in
order to create the look, feel and even weight of their real-steel
counterpart.
Gameplay varies in style and composition but often
range from short-term skirmishes, organized scenarios, C.Q.B., field,
military simulations, or historical reenactments. Combat situations on
the battlefield often involve the use of common military tactics to
achieve objectives set in each game. Participants typically emulate the
tactical equipment and accessories used by modern military and police
organizations.
As with any sport/recreational activity there are
some risks associated with Airsoft, however with the proper safety gear
Airsoft can be safe and fun for all. Cobra Urban Combat and Southern
Alabama Paintball enforce and embrace Safety 1st above all. That is why
Eye protection is a must, we strongly recommend full face mask, however
eye goggles are acceptable. Chest protector, gloves and long sleeves are
all optional. Closed toe shoes are mandatory.
