I was getting a higher ROF with my 9.6v as opposed to my 8.4v. Well today after not using my gun for a while I plug the battery in and I'm getting the same ROF with my 9.6 as I would with my 8.4. Cam anybody tell me why?

Are you using a smart charger?

Yes I am using a smart charger. The 9.6v battery has never even touched the trickle charger unlike the 8.4.

use a voltmeter and check battery voltage. you may have a bad cell.

Don't have a voltmeter :( maybe it was just dying. I plugged it into the charger, let it charge and now its shooting fine.
