    Hey again all,

I live in the UK and so usually post around our respective forums, but I'm wondering if you lot could help me with an issue I'm having with buying a new rail for my L96.

So I'm looking at replacing the top rail for my APS-2 type L96 (you know, the one with the smaller magazine that loads flushed nearer to the front).

Anyway, I'm replacing the rail because I'm a total derp and sorta well, destroyed mine.

I really like the look of the AirsoftGI one here: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=7693 but they don't deliver to the United Kingdom so that's a no-go. My other option is just to go with a standard replacement shown here on Airsoft Atlanta: http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/Laylax_Flat_Scope_Mount_Type_96_APS_Rifle_p/58495.htm.

Now my question to you guys is; can I fit one of the Laylax 'long rails': http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/Laylax_L96_AWS_Long_Mount_Base_airsoft_p/57896.htm to a normal L96 APS-2? The screws look like they're in the wrong place but it's hard to tell.

Additionally, does anyone know if this will fit the L96 APS-2? I suspect not, but I thought I'd ask: http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/Laylax_L96_AWS_Multi_Rail_Attachment_Kit_airsoft_p/57895.htm

Thank you all for your time! :D

    First, it's APS not APS-2.

The Laylax long rail that you posted is for Marui AWS, it won't fit.
The distance between the two screws is different.

The multi-rail attachment kit should work, it uses the existing holes on the shell and they should be the same distance apart.

    Alright, thanks :)

I'm actually just looking to get some new screws for my top rail so in any case I might try the long rail. Maybe take a pillar drill to it *shrugs*

That's an idea, but I doing this as a show piece so I need it to be quite nice looking. You've probably gathered that sniper rifles are not my forte. I much prefer AEGs :D
