I may have a genius idea, pending it being possible, that would convert a Thunder B into a reusable Airsoft BB Grenade. This is NOT the idea about putting bb's into the shell (which is dangerous and not reusable.
The idea is as follows. Take a Thunder B Shell, preferably this one

And drill say 30 5mm holes in the cylinder (not the bottom or top though.) You then affix a stretchy rubber sleeve of some sort to the outside, with holes that line up with those on the shell. The idea is that you put BB's inbetween the rubber and the shell. Then you use the grenade like usaul. Except it is now a bb grenade.
Obviously this needs refinement as it would be tedious to load and not deliver a pefect burst pattern, but it should work. I have. Not tested this, as I don't own a Thunder B, and would appreciate if someone would test it.
