    Here's the deal, post any acronyms & their definition (that haven't already been posted) and I will add them to this list, then when we have a full list I will sticky it for all to read & understand. :)

    All credit goes to Dante.

    AEG = Automatic Electric Gun
    AEP = Automatic Electric Pistol
    EBB = Electric Blowback (I recommend avoiding like the plague)
    GBB = Gas BlowBack
    NBB = Non Blow Back
    LPEG = Low Power/Price Electric Gun (Plastic gears, low FPS, not worth it)
    MPEG = Medium Priced Electric Gun (Some use this term to describe LPEGs, others for chinese AEGs)
    TB = Tight Bore (Inner Barrel)
    DMR = Designated Marksman's Rifle
    mAh = Milliamp Hours. (How long a battery can supply 1 milli Amp at the rated voltage per second)
    Lipo = Lithium-ion polymer battery. (Almost perfect charge/discharge efficiency ~ 99.8%)
    Cheapsoft/Chinasoft = Chinese made airsoft weapons from companies such as JG, Cyma, WELL etc.
    ACM = All China Made (Same meaning as Cheapsoft)

    Brands:
    G&G = Guay Guay
    G&P
    JG = Jing Gong ( Also Echo 1 & Golden Bow)
    CM = Refers to G&G Combat Machine or when followed by a . & a number normally refers to Cyma models. E.g CM.036
    CA = Classic Army
    TM = Tokyo Marui
    PTW = Proffesional Training Weapon. Arguably the most realistic airsoft weapons available. Made by Systema
    CTW = Celcius Training Weapon, a 'clone' of the Systema PTW except with a significantly lower price tag.

    Note: Wierd terms such as "All China Made" and "Automatic Electric Gun" which do not seem completely correct in English are exactly that, they are incorrect due to direct translation. However the terms have stuck & everyone can easily understand their meaning provided they know what the acronym stands for.

    I think a list of brands would be good too. I'll start off.

    TM = Tokyo Marui

    CA = Classic Army

    etc...you guys can add...

    Plus don't forget things such as PTW = Personal Training Weapon or CTW = Celsius Training Weapon.

    EDIT: Equipment acronyms also is a good idea.

    RAS = Rail Adapter System

    NICD Batteries ( Nickel Cadmium )= It is important that you discharge these batteries before charging them, or they will lose their capacity and you will get less run-time in-between charges. This is often referred to as the “Memory Effect”.

    Ni-MH batteries (Nickel Metal Hydride )= have higher capacities than Ni-Cd batteries and are not affected by the “Memory Effect”. In addition most NiMH cells have now surpassed Nicads in discharge rates. They are more expensive than Ni-Cd batteries, however they will last longer than Ni-Cd batteries in-between chargers, and will therefore have a longer life span.
