As many of you know, I type this a lot:

Being that this is an USA forum and that we have a certain level of consumer expectations like:

Parts made to a standard
100% Compatibility
Truth in Advertising
Warranty on Products
The Distributors have our best interest in mind
Information is "Correct" about a product

All that above, does not exist in Airsoft.

They do take the low grade materials and sell on hype and partial information.

So as a living document on this forum. I am typing this out and will amend and adjust as we as a group see fit.

So, with that, ask questions and the forum will help if we can.

Ah...another thing to add to the list.

They don't so much "set" the bar for "quality". They do set the bar on there profit margin of ~55% at each level of the supply chain.

EF 1911 CO2 - Factory landed cost (roughly) ~$35.00 >>> Retail Sale Price ~$140.00

Plus the Airsoft buying public is highly inexperienced and don't know better. A petition would be ignored.

The best way to make them change is to spread the truth. I know Retro Arms gearboxes have been having cq issues lately, so I'm not going to buy one.

If enough people decide that, RA will have no choice but to change or go under. The difficulty comes when the general airsoft consumer takes advertisements as gospel and doesn't listen to experienced players.

A more effective method is to vote with your wallet. Unfortunately the polit... err marketing campaigns of the major brands heavily affect the choices of the customers/voters.

Ive called out a certain battery brand on their seemingly impressive claims but haven't gotten any meaningful replies. They aim to simply ignore the more informed consumers. This applies to many brands.

They think they know better, whether it's breaking the laws of physics or any concept of making what the consumer wants. They are also were the ones that tried to institute a 5 Year Warranty for KWC 1911's...when they interviewed this person...I want to know what question did they ask and how she answered before they hired her...

Wait, isn't a warranty nice for us? I don't think last six months of use without it having **** the bed from shock to the die-cast metal. The closed-bolt Mini-Uzi comes to mind...

Oh OK, now it's clear.

Arrogant and don't even understand their products at all. I can't remember where it's stated but they specifically instruct on their APS3 silicone-spray. Also stating that their earlier models can use steel .12 g and .12 g paintball bbs. Like did they ever even actually try that? Awful results.
