bought this 550 fps rifle and it could barely hit a 1.5ftx1.5ft target at 125 ft even with lobbing the shots. I used .20's for this, would heavier bbs work better or is this rifle just not accurate.

Your using one of the lightest bbs in a high fps gun.

You need to be using at least .3 in that. The higher weight the better, but at more cost.

Airsoft snipers aren't just point and pull, the big youtubers spend days tuning their gear and rifle to get consistent hits. They make it look easy when really it isn't.

BB grade is another factor and grease in the barrel could also be an issue.

You first need to use quality heavy ammunition and have a clean barrel. Then after that, you'll know how accurate it is and then you can go from there.

That can't be answered until you use better heavy ammo. Most upgrades in airsoft are just the same parts with meh performance, you'd have to hunt for higher end cnced hop up units, nicer packings and even a nice barrel. None of this is cheap or easy to do if your new to bolt actions.

But seriously shoot better ammo before you try messing with the internals.

And remember, nothing is made to any standard what so ever...
