Battery connector replaceing

    Well I'm replaceing stock battery connectors since my otter connector fried. So do you just attach the wire onto the new connector and squeeze with pliers? Or am I totally off? Haha help me out

    You have to solder on the new. On connectors I suggest some deans.

    I wouldn't use a battery that shorted like that if I were you.

    If you're replacing stock Tamiya style connectors, you'll need a new plug set like this:

    Then yes, you can use needle nose pliers to crimp the wire into the connectors.

    If you are switching to Deans style like this:

    http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_417&products_id=27021

    then you'll need to solder the wiring and change your battery connector. You'll also need to make a charging adapter unless you're using Lipos.
