    Punctuation is your friend.

But seriously, he is right. There are many kinds of mp5 and it matters which kind you have.

Just tell us which one you have...
    Is it really that hard?

Is it really that hard to understand that he just said he doesn't have one yet?

I thought he meant he doesn't have a battery yet.
But still which model is he planning on getting ?(MP5A4, A5, SD, etc) Different MP5s can fit different batteries, some house them in the stock, while some have them in the handguard.

He obviously doesn't know which one since he said for any.

OP: you probably can't find one battery to fit the gun perfect until you do decide which gun your getting.

Hand guards: nunchucks work the best.
Stock: pretty much nay thing that'll fit. You could use a large type 9.6v if you want, but it would be really back heavy.
Inside the gun: pretty much only stick batteries will work. If you can fit a 9.6v stick you're good. A 7.4v stick SHOULD work, but I've never tried.

Make sure that if you're using the handguard to house the battery, a 9.6v wont fit (My iCS MP5 could barely fit an 8.4v Minitype 1600mah
