It sounds like a less intense version of SERE school
Well, it is not as hard as SERE, but it has its moments. In no way, are you being subject to survival or fear for your life.
It is still a game and there is always enough water in case you need some. You do not need to worry about food etc.
SERE is much more complex. You do not need to survive in freezing waters at Berget
Well, I did SERE in the desert... and that was something the instructors always made sure we had ALOT of water. Hell, every could of hours when we were in the POW camp they made us drink a canteen cup full of water. Either way, this sounds like ALOT of fun
Why not just cut open plants and drink water from them, it wouldn't be alot but if you are really thirsty you could do that. Sounds awesome I will have to wait till berget 15 in order to go.
I got berget 12 or 13 then
seems a little foolish to cut open plants on the off chance that there might be water in them when you have 3 canteens full of water on you at all times. Plus, the cacti that water is stored it isn't indigenous to where I went through.
Oh okay, I thought you had like 1 canteen a day. If you did have cati where you went through, they would have water stored in them, cati are made to survive weeks without water so they store it all.
Any tips on transporting AEG's via luggage whilst flying there? Are there any paperwork to fill out with the airline and what not? Also, what about insurance both for transport and medical whilst there?
There were cacti around, just not the kind you're thinking of. The kind we had were called cholla. they look like a bush, but they're spikey and they hurt like hell when you run into them in the dark.
Depends where you're flying from and the airline. Some will simply refuse to carry them. Though any airline that allows real firearms will allow replicas too. Call the airline and ask if they have any special requirements for transport of replica firearms or if they are going to charge extra for the privilege, if you turn up at the airport without checking and the airline requires a fee they will probably rape you with charges, I'm talking serious charges of like $100 per gun. Talk to customs prior to the trip & get all the details sorted for import/export of replica firearms sorted, they can come in handy when going through the airport. Bring any relevant paperwork with you to the airport, an instruction manual for a gun can help explain it and demonstrate you're not lying about it's use and function. The guns absolutely must be locked in a hard gun case, like a pelican case or similar. The stronger the better.
Go to check in EARLY, I mean real early. It could take a very long time depending on how co-operative the staff are and its much better to get lucky and have 2-3 hours in the duty free area than to miss your flight. It took us a good hour or two to get through and the staff were very co-operative with us. Declare you have REPLICA firearms you wish to transport with you and the check in operator will most likely get security to come down. (They escorted us for some of the trip through the airport as well as checking the items)
To sum it up:
Check with the airline
Bring relevant paperwork
Notify airline staff and airport security.
Be co-operative and patient
And some airlines have a 200 dollar fee.
Berget 10 page will be up on the 21st Oct. I'm considering trying to document the whole process from booking to leaving.
Are you going to Berget 10?
We got to meet up!
The document thingy sounds nice, was kind of thinking about the same thing I was thinking about making a log in General Airsoft..
Absolutely, just need to get the money together. I've got enough to book a ticket when they're released so hopefully I can get together the rest of the costs by June.
I'm lucky. All I need is gas money Living some hours away
God this drives me Insane. I hope this will still be going on in 4 yrs
Hey, don't forget me, for the live of god!
I am pretty certain it still will
This year is going to be back to the previous game site apparently, or maybe a whole new one? I don't know the difference between the two mostly used but people were saying they think it is better. I'm pretty excited.
I hear rumors that Berget 10 has become too much for the crew to handle, so this is the last year of Berget.
- THIS IS ONLY RUMORS THO -
This had better be false.
