Ok guys, I've been looking at the.

    S&T TAR-21.
    JG AUG civilian.

Now, I know the Tar-21 has a plastic GB shell, but metal internals. The AUG has full metal which is nice. Also I like that the TAR-21 can take M4 mags. My price range is about $150. I don't have to get a bill pup I just like them. I don't like M4 or G36 variants.

    Tats! (*immature giggle*)
The JG would be good choice overall for a couple reasons.
1.Plenty of parts available since it's a Marui clone.
2.JG guns have good performance per price.
3.More knowledge/info on it compared to the S&T.

What type of fields do you play at? Because a Tavor is a better CQB weapon than a AUG.

It's a field, but I heard there was a quick spring change? Which I could bump it to 350-400fps?

Yes that is correct but I would suggest upgrading the barrel and hop-up bucking for field play.

Not exactly, sadly as much as I love Tavors it sounds like a AUG is a better fit because it is extremely easy to take down.

Well my S&T Tavor is an amazing gun for what I need but from what you've said it sounds like the AUG is a better fit for you.

What about a FN 2000? A JLS is in your price range I believe.

I've heard the JG AUG has a weird trigger system. (Half pull semi hold down full auto.) I've heard thats a problem when putting it back together. Just some food for thought. Not sure what the break-down on the Tavor is like, but the AUG supposedly isn't the easiest thing in the world.

Well it is very hard to break down a S&T Tavor is very hard to break down at least in my option.

IIRC the trigger is like that to mimic the real steel AUG.

Ah both seem difficult on the breakdown then. Also to OP do you plan on doing any teching? If not the breakdown may not be much of an object in your decision making process.

Of that I believe you are correct, but I was just putting out there the possibility of that making breakdown a tad bit more complicated.

In the OP Soviet says he likes the Tavor because it can take STANAGs, well I know for a FACT that you can mod STANAGs to work in an AUG.
