I recently got a Condor Chest Rig and i really like it, but I've seen some chest rigs, including the Condor , with an upper chest piece that goes between the straps. Does anyone know what this is called and/or where i can get one? Thanks!

Most likely what you saw was a SF group of some type wearing a chest rig over body armour. You can get some mock body armour at many a retailers. Google it.

I think he's talking about the RRV style and how you can fold the top piece down under the main part of the rig..could be wrong.

Its called a bib. I've looked into buying one, but I've been unable to locate one.

The bib is either already attached to the rig or you can't get one. The EI RRV is a great example of this, though a lot of other companies make a similar rig. It comes with a bib that you can fold down into the vest and make it a true chest rig. You can't really buy an aftermarket bib.

That's okay though, your chest rig is Condor, so it kind of sucks already. Pick up a FLYYE or Pantac RRV and you'll be much happier with it anyway.

    I did as well.

OP, if you need a video demonstrating what they are talking about, I currently run an RRV and can throw one together tonight or tomorrow.

So, OP, no, bibs are not available for aftermarket purchase.

Knief. Can I start sig'ing what you say?

Still don't know if I like the RRV with bib up or down yet.

OP. As Fantic pointed out, it can't be bought separately.

wow, i gotta check my threads more often. Thanks for the help, guys! I decided I'm gonna look for some Denier fabric to buy in bulk and do some good ol fashion sewing, and make my own.

and Knief, don't be hatin on my Condor. Its the best you can buy for the price in my opinion. Most of what I use is Condor, and it hasn't failed me yet. It's sturdy and reliable, and at a good price. All the other guys on my team have the Condor GEN 4 rig like mine, and they love it too, Hell, Evike Matt, with all the stuff he has available to him, uses the 25 dollar condor Gen 4.

Here comes another condor fight.... I'll say what knief is going to say:
For the same price you are paying for condor you can pay for something like flyye that is much better quality.

That is indeed, a compelling argument as to why you shouldn't use it.

That's a hell of a lot more eloquent than what I was going to say about it.

I had to brush the dust off my monocle and top hat for that one.
