So I just got my new Co2 Non blowback Umarex Usp ( It's just for backyard skirmishes) And was wondering a few things. 1- If the Co2 leaks and you I guess inhale it or something does your head suddenly start to hurt ?
2- What are some basic needs for keeping my gun in good condition ?

Inhaling CO2 isn't exactly the greatest thing, but remember that we just breathe out CO2, so technically you should get slight headache due to the reduced levels of oxygen.

Since it's a non blowback, there's not a lot you can do to maintain it, unless you find a way in which you can clean the barrel.

Firstly don't deeply inhale next to ANY gas leak (common sense), but some minor gas inhalation shouldn't give you a headache or kill you.

Secondly I usually put some teflon tape over the co2 catridge before screwing it in, someone told me to do this a long time ago, I never questioned why.

I think it to keep the gas from leaking , so it ha a air tight seal
