    Price Range: $100-150

Type of Gun You Want: Electric

Preferred Gun Models: Mp7, Mp5, UMP or AK74su

What Role/Type of Play You Will Be Doing/Playing: CQB

Looking for a low priced submachine gun for some CQB play. Needs to be 300 fps or slightly lower so I can utilize full auto when necessary. Full metal would be preferred and blow back would be a plus, though not necessary.

I would prefer a submachine gun that I would not have to do any internal work on

Thats not going to happen for under $250. Any gun needs basic work done such as shimming, regreasing and correcting AOE.

I ran a stock Galaxy MP5K with a 7.4V 1600 mAh Buffer Tube Lipo for about a year with zero problems.

Finally upgraded it to a high speed setup and ran it another year before selling it.

    It can be done.

It's a stick Lipo battery that fits in a typical AEG M4 buffer tube.

The 7.4V 1600 mAh stick was the biggest I could fit in the cramped battery space of the Galaxy.

The AKS-74U isn't a SMG. Also +1 to the Galaxy MP5K great choice.

While technically true, it's smaller than some full stock MP5s with stock folded.

Per Wikipedia ".. bridges the gap between a submachine gun and an assault rifle."

Size doesn't determine if it is a SMG or not. Calibre does.

In real life yes. But since all AS are the same caliber, most people associate SMG with size.

It's a carbine. Shortened assault rifle.

The point is that the weapon is compact which is why it was listed, end of story. Can we get back on topic?

And because all airsoft guns are the same calibre that means that the design from the real steel rifle from which the airsoft replica was designed after means nothing?
AKS-74u's are not SMGs, no matter what you say. Yeah, it's smaller than an MP5 with a full stock. Does that make an MP5 an assault rifle? My UTG Tri shot is longer than my M4, does that mean it's a sniper rifle? Size means nothing. Calibre is everything.

Anyway, the Galaxy MP5k is a little tank.
