    Title

Which is a better base? Stock performance wise?(no I will be upgrading them just wondering)

    Upgrade choice wise

    Platform wise

    Thoughts, suggestions?

I'm also open to any other base platform suggestions around 400$~ or less.

While both are good guns, the SR-25 is the better performer because of it's longer cylinder and piston. This provides more air to push the bb, which will push heavier bbs better than the M14 will.

But both are very upgradeable, and have a full assortment of aftermarket parts.

Also as I can't find a reliable place to find the original SR-25 my only option is the "SR-25k" which I don't know too much about other than only that the stock is different. Do you know much about them?

Are DMRs the only thing you own, lol? You have so many. It's such a nice collection.

The difference between the sr 25 and sr 25k besides the stock is barrel lenght. the sr 25 in 20in. inner barrel around 510mm while the sr 25k is 16 in 363 mm inner barrel. Which isn't a big deal considering you can add a silencer to the sr 25k and but a longer barrel in it.
