Your FPS goal should be at least 15 fps below the field's limit with a tolerance of 2 FPS. To achieve this, you'll need a good quality spring (see link below) and good compression. Compression is your air seal. If you put all your compression parts together (cylinder, cylinder head, air nozzle), block the air nozzle with your thumb and try to push the piston through the cylinder. If you can stop the piston, you have perfect compression. The first compression part that I'd recommend replacing is the air nozzle. The cylinder and head can be sealed together with Teflon tape, which usually works well enough. If you have any further questions, I'm a technician and you'll know right where to find me.
