Well I was getting bored with my build (waiting on a stronger 11.1 v lipo to come in) so I decided to hack an amplifier...If I had a 3d printer, I would've tried to print a design like UA where the amplifier internally looks like a trumpet, but I had to make do with what I had. After measuring my tracer unit, I ordered some foam pipe insulation. What I did was order pipe insulation with a slightly tighter (inner) circumference than my Acetech Brighter C tracer unit. I cut a piece of insulation of the same length as my tracer. I slid the tracer into the insulation and secured it with a drop of loctite. I had an old king arms tracer unit that busted (complicated story), so I gutted the shell and took the longest component that used to house the actual tracer. I then slid that onto the acetech, and tadaaa - a cheap amplifier over my tracer unit
. Not quite a crack sound, but still a nice pop...I'm satisfied. Alas, I cannot upload a vid from my platform, but here are some pics of my steps. Literally took me 5 mins to slap together haha.
