Alright so I acquired a ICS mx5 pro a few weeks back. I'm totally in love with the gun but now I'm wanting higher rounds per second.

All I've done towards upgrading it is

    Wiring it to deans
    Re greasing
    And adding a 11.v lipo

I'm not really exactly sure where to start in upgrading except I've heard to change the stock motor (ics 3000?) for a different motor but I'm not sure what brand or type.
Also what other parts should i upgrade, I'm hoping for around 30-35 bps and no less than 320 fps and no higher than 400

Fell free to ask questions, I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

    Thanks, Dylan

    Edit
    To do list

    Correct AoE

A good way to start you off is to get a new gear set (Lonex 13:1) and a motor wise, get a Lonex A1.
You should also shim and correct AOE.

    Alright, that's a start thanks.

    What about a sector chip?

Depends on the gun really. I can run at 35 RPS without a sector chip just fine, but other guns could need a sector chip as low as 30 RPS.

So I won't really know until I try it basically?

Just a heads up, the Lonex gear set you want is the high speed gearset. It's 16:1, not 13:1. In fact I don't even think lonex makes a 13:1 gear set, but if you would rather have a 13:1 gear set then look into the SHS gears on clandestine (Gen 1 bevel).

How much of a difference would their be between 16:1 gears and 13:1 gears anyways? I like lonex but if it's gonna give me another 3-4 bps then I'll go shs

    Depending what motor you grab:

High speed motor with 16:1 and 13:1 can have a 6-10 bps differential. Depending on tech work, spring, and battery. Bps can range from 28-42 bps.

HIgh torque motor with 16:1 and 13:1 can have about the same differential but the "bps" max is a little lower. Probably sitting at 22-32 bps. Depending on tech work, spring, and battery.

Alright so I've been busy for a while and well, out of extra money for airsoft.
I finally have money to buy a motor. I'm stuck between the a1 and a2 lonex motor.
i will be running a m120 spring with new shs 13:1 gears.
If anyone could give me an estimated bps with both the a1 and a2 that would be great, also any extra information that goes with the motors.

    What battery are you using?

On an 11.1v lipo, a2 is about 40-45 rps, a1 is about 45-50
    7.4v lipo, a2 is 25-30, a1 is 30-35

11.1v lipo will be used, thanks. I'll update the thread as I get parts or need help.
