I'm new to sniper rifles, so I thought I'd ask due to the fact that I'm considering buying an ECHO 1 ASR from a friend of a friend, and was wondering what I should be looking for/ be aware of in terms of pros/cons of said gun???

It was my first Airsoft gun and I obviously liked it. But I would recommend getting the echo1 m28 because of the upgradibility because the ASR has a bunch of APS 2 and MK96 parts mixed in it. Unless you're stuck on the ASR or don't want to upgrade without some difficulties.

What is your definition of "some difficulties"?

I was planning to start with just a TBB and flat-hop, and if I decide it's worth it, I'll replace the cylinder/piston set ups.

I don't know if you're experienced with that stuff or not but the cylinder would probably be the easiest. The barrel is a mk96 i think and the hop up would probably be the hardest thing

It's a good gun. I've used it multiple times from a friend. His is bone stock and it's good.
