A lot of flash hiders have different combinations on how you have to remove them. But there are really only 2 ways they are attached.

    Attached by hex screw
Buy a metric and standard Allen Wrench set. Remove screws. Twist Clockwise. EASY

    Attached by glue.
Dip into boiling water. Twist off Clockwise. EASY

The process literally could not be any more simple than boiling water and removing screw. I believe they have trained monkeys to do both.

Have you tried twisting it off?

    Is it plastic or metal?

Guys, we are talking about a m14 flash hider .
OP: under the front sight, there will be a small cm wide metal ring. Twist that, and it will take the flashider off.
Edit: the ring I am talking about would be in the empty space in the picture.
