Ok, I have a 1" flashlight mount that I got because it looked like it would fit, but the flashlight is about an eighth of an inch smaller and it doesn't fit, any suggestions? I've thought of just getting some foam and wrapping it but I'm not sure how well that will work

100% agreed with Marine. Tape is cheap, available anywhere and easy to apply.

True, not sure why I didn't think of that...after all, tape is a rednecks best friend

Would it be okay if I did the tape with a pistol?

Well is the pistol blowback/spring? If yes, then no it won't work. If no, then yes it would work.

    Its co2, non-blowback.

I would use a rubberband vs. tape. It's not as ugly as the tape.

You could always use something like a Pre-wrap.

How would a rubber band work?

I actually used scope mounts that were too small for my flashlight. I just used larger screws than what came with the mount.

If the flashlight is black, you can use black electrical tape. And rubber bands don't stick to surfaces.

Black electrical tape has been popular for years. Using those and rubber bands can be effective.
