Right, so I'm looking at getting a new vest/loadout as I have changed camo from DPM to MTP. To start with, I'm not trying to impersonate any particular branch of the military, I'm just trying to put together something that works well. I'll be nearly only using this rig for CQB, if that makes a difference. After reading around on here, I've decided on Flyye (but if there's something else, please do tell) since everyone seems to think its a good and durable brand. I aslo thought khaki went the best with MTP, but please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm relly just looking for opinions, things I've left out that you find useful or maybe something completely different and what looks best.

There are some problems here. Your shingles won't fit on the cummerbund flap as planned. You'll want a triple wide shingle. You should also get the TMC insert for the 6094 to take advantage of the kangaroo pouch. You don't need the silencer pouch or the pistol lanyard. Invest that money in a better holster if you're worried about retention. Do you need space for five pistol mags? If you don't regularly go through five pistol mags in a game, maybe lose two or three. Your dump pouch isn't great either. Get the EI/TAG style dumper instead. You'll want a belt to hang that off of too, if you don't have one.

Right, so triple shingle on the flap, and a double on the right side then. Or, what do you think of getting two tiple shingles and mounting one on the other? What exactly is a kangaroo pouch? I'm guessing its just a space that opens up at the front. Scrap the lanyard and silencer - for holster I was thinking something like a blackhawk either attached to the vest, or to my belt (which I do already have). I normally use the pistol mag pouch on the admin puch for either a flashlight or speedloader etc, so it's actually four. I occassionally run two pistols and no primary so I thought I might as well have an extra two for when I do. Also, just to be sure, will those mag pouches fit kwa m9 mags and kjw p226 mags? I'll change the dump pouch then, and you're saying it's better to attach that to my belt than my vest? Anything else you might add?

Planning a trip with some friends who live there after exams, gonna be good. It is quite convenient timing though ;)

Don't mount two shingles one on top of the other. It gets rid of their advantage, the low-profile design.

The kangaroo pouch is a built-in pouch, so it will add minimal bulk to your rig. You should attach your dumper to your belt.

Do you guys have any input/feedback on the rigid kangaroo inserts or stick to the TMC style ones?

    Keep to the soft inserts.

BTW, they're not TMC-style. TMC makes repros of both the S&S precision hard insert and the LBT soft insert. I can't think of a single thing that TMC actually created themselves.

Understood, it was just my attempt to describe the item that was in my uneducated head lol.

Other then lack of original IP,TMC inserts are adequate for this task, or should I be looking at other brands?

Ok, won't do that then. Seems a bit bare, anything else you'd add? Will do that.

Kindly, make your own thread. Thanks.

The new big thing is lightweight. The K.I.S.S. philosophy is most certainly prominent right now. Only have pouches you know you'll use. For instance, on my RRV that I'm selling, I had a shingle, a single mag pouch, a pistol/smg mag pouch in the kangaroo pocket, and an admin pouch. That's all. I would have run more, but I felt that nothing else was essential.

    Right, thanks Grin.

Two last things. Coyote brown vs khaki - which goes better with mtp? And can you link me a kangaroo pouch pleas, the only ones I've found are rigid abs ones.

I would say that khaki would go better.

I would normally be happy to link you, but I am on my phone and EBAirsoft is not a mobile-friendly site.

I'll be sure to shoot you that PM.

BTW, would you be able to get me a line on British surplus possibly? My stuff around here amounts to DPM smocks and load-bearing equipment.

Note: I have nothing against English people.
