    It is an alright rifle, but if you want it, get it from here:

    It shoots very hot, and will require an HPA rig to have any consistancy. The G96 is solid built, and looks great, about my only complaint would be the flashjing left on the stock after the molding process. Otherwise I really like mine...and no, I have not built an HPA rig for my G96... I like it totally stock for target shooting.

    To answer your question, yes, they are the same rifle... Airsoft GI is kind of behind the times...

    I just traded this rifle, but my experience was very pleasant. With a 3x9x40 scope, zero wind, I could hit a human sized target (dickie's jumpsuit hung from a tree ;) ) from about 75 yards out. I got this through a trade, so obviously curious about how a gas sniper would perform and was surprised. Now I'm having regret for not making a CO2 rig! just kidding no i'm not.
