Alright, first off, this is part build, part classifieds listing. If this is a problem, I apologize.

I'm looking to build a G3A4ZF. Yes, I'm being very specific, and I don't mean the G3A3ZF which is far more common. For those of you who don't know what the G3A4ZF looks like, here's a picture of a bundeswehr Heer soldier operating under the ISAF with a G3A4ZF:

Here's the problem: I'm missing a few things, namely the hendsolt zeiss 4x24 scope and integrated NATO claw mount, and the A4 retractable stock. Oh, and a front sight.

Here's what i have to work with:

As you can see, I have a little ways to go. Now onto the part where I talk about how i plan on getting these parts.

As much as I'd love to, I don't want to spend over $500 on a scope I plan on using for airsoft, so I found something I can use as a substitute: http://www.amazon.com/UTG-Range-Estimating-Illuminated-Scope/dp/B002TUSJPM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1345378198&sr=8-1&keywords=UTG%204X%20Range%20Estimating%20Illuminated%20CQB%20Scope
Problem is, with college expenses, I don't have the cash to buy it. however If someone were to buy this and an A4 retractable stock, I have two things i'd be willing to trade:

First is a very, very nice Tech Force 3-9x40 with red/green/blue dot illumination. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_SPM5893110509P

Second is a very niceUMP-style folding stock for the G3, by G&G: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=5822
I'll gladly trade both of these for the scope and an A4 retractable stock. Thank you for your time.

When I built my G3A3ZF I used this scope and mount combo:

    http://www.amazon.com/UTG-Range-Est...UTG+4X+Range+Estimating+Illuminated+CQB+Scope

Of all of the scopes I found, this is basically the only one I found that could be mounted to an HK high rise scope mount without having to resort to scope rings and a rail, while retaining alot of the ZF-1 looks.I ended up buying the scope and mount together. Now sure its a little pricey, but its as true to form as I could find.

thanks:D I just came across a stanag mount in my uncle's closet(i was like 'dafuq? can i have this?'), too:) so this works perfectly. now i just need that scope and a JG A4 stock. would you happen to have one?

Sorry no.However I can offer you this:

    http://www.robertrtg.com/g3surplusblackstockset.html

I honestly dont think an airsoft version can be had for this price if you can find one.

Are you going to get the scope you found or the one I linked you to?IMO the one you found wouldnt look that good being as how you would have to use scope rings.

    UPDATE:
So, I'm still lacking funds so I wont be able to pick up a retractable stock anytime soon. :/ However, I did manage to pull a trade for my folding stock, so now I have a full stock. So for now, this is a G3A3ZF. I do need to pick up an ejection buffer, since the Bundeswehr updated almost all of their G3's to have this. for those of you who don't know what an ejection buffer is, it's something that makes the spent brass fall to the ground instead of flying 30ish feet to your right. This is a visible part, which is why I require it for a more accurate build. I already lost points with the scope, since there's no way I'm putting a $500 optic on my airsoft replica, so I'm going to try and make up those points with the buffer. The last thing I'm not so sure about is if I should pick up a slimline hand-guard, or save up for the tri-rail one. I really could go either way on this, since it's operator's preference. I would like such things as a stubby foregrip and a harris-style bipod(love those things), and maybe some other stuff like a PEQ(have to research the correct one) and such.

    Anyways, Here's some gun porn:

When I built my G3A3ZF version I elected to go wood for the 1960's look which made the welded on port buffer redundant, and instead installed a removable one, which was available (op's preference). If it were me I would go with the slim polymer hand guard,as the rifles function is to support a squad, and ditch the bipod, and fore grip idea aswell.

At this point your probably thinking about battery placement. To be as correct as possible,I would run with a battery sling.

The G3A4ZF is being put on hold until I can actually have enough funds to worry about a stock that's going to end up costing me about $100. Until then, she's going to be a current-era G3A3ZF. A few reasons why I wanted the tri-rail was so when I do get the retractable stock, I can just rewire her to the front and have a peq of sorts and to try and reduce the amount of flex between the barrel section and the upper receiver, since I don't want to drop another $250 in a metal body and cocking tube, but I may(hopefully) just end up getting a metal upper and cocking tube, and I'll explain why further down.

I've been having some trouble sleeping lately, so I decided to put that to good use; I modified my scope to look more like the fero-zf24, Silenced the creaking plastic of the handguard and stock with some high-density foam(the SHS motor packaging foam inside the little box) and some superglue, as well as weathering it with some sandpaper of varying grits(100-4000).

    Overview of Progress:
The Scope still needs a bit more work, but I'm satisfied for now until I get my dremel back. The handguard and stock are now SILENT, but the plastic upper and lower are still creaking. It's not enough to be annoying, so I'll leave it for now. And I wasn't expecting this result, but there is noticeably less overall flexing of the gun, especially in the forward end of the rifle, which is important since I plan on taking the designated marksman role.

    Future Progress Plans:
OK, so while I'm still doing more and more research on the rifle, I found something kind of interesting: Alot of the upgraded and reissued G3's in the Bundeswehr are using polymer lower receivers that look similar to the standard MP5 receiver, which my text research never mentioned anything about replacement receivers, much less polymer ones. I'm going to see if I can get ahold of an MP5 lower and modify it to work on my G3. The selector Might be a pain in the butt, but worst case i'll just go without the indexing since I don't really plan on using auto anyways. So I have that to do, but right now my biggest things are getting the front sight(I might rip one off an MP5 and just rework it to fit), Picking up an HK factory-made ejection port shell deflector, and the slim or tri-rail handguard.

    Pictures:
I'm sure you guys are wanting to see some pictures after the great big wall of text, so here you go!

Early to mid 80's G3's,along with the HK91's were built with the lower "Navy" polymer receiver. This was done to lighten up the rifle, and further bring down costs of production.A G&G G3 Navy lower receiver will fit your gun.I have one and have test fit it on a CA and a JG without issue. You can easily build a port buffer from polystyrene sheeting and apply it to the plastic upper of your gun with epoxy. If you puddle the epoxy right where it attaches, this could replicate the tig welding puddle that occurs while welding the buffer on the real rifle.

I'll look into those. I have an mp5 parts gun coming in, so i'll see if if something can be done.

AEX is sold out, and I've seen the Titan one. I think I'm just about done dumping money into the externals of this rifle, So I'm going to start working on improving the internals. It currently shoots 460 w/ .2g, and is R-hopped. However, I'm kinda doubting the FPS, because it seems a little bit slow, but I don't have a chrono to test it with.

Well I would go to a friend or local airsoft store and test it then upgrade the sears and the spring based on the results. If you have any experience in bar tens would you please go to my build and help in the link below thanks.

    Alright, just a small update:
I took her to tac city south(i mainly rock my KSC P10 "Astrid" there), and she chrono'd at 367. Very disappointing. I ordered a few parts, as listed below:
    • SHS M140
    • Madbull 6.03mm barrel
    • viton x-ring
I also replaced the crappy JG pistonhead with a yellow CA one, and I can already tell the performance has vastly increased with all this new stuff. I also drilled a small hole in the receiver so I can disengage the spring when I'm done for the day. On a side note, the MOSFET failed on my 50rps g36c, so that means I have two fets i need to buy. This is the 3rd mosfet from this guy that failed, and haven't heard back from him in a while so I'm just about done with those. So far, I'm very pleased with the look, feel and function of this build, aside from the mosfet issues.

EDIT:: She finally has a fitting name! Meet Anja(pronounced "Anya"), meaning "beautiful"
