    Hi there.

UK based airsofter who has been out of the game for a year. I'm keen to get stuck back in after a deployment overseas.

Welcome to the forum! Don't forget to read the rules and have fun! By the way, when I saw the title of this thread, I so thought about Gene Autry's song.

    Welcome to the boards.

Just to clarify, you are in the English military?

I also want to confirm you are in the UK Armed Forces. If so, I have a lot of questions for you.

It's nice to have a member from the other side of the lake. But one quick question. What are airsoft laws there?

Unfortunately not as great as in the US.

Need to be 18 to buy
Need to have a UKARA membership to buy RIFs (to get this you need to be a member at a site)
If you're not a UKARA member you can only buy two tone (at least 51% fluorescent green, yellow etc.)
    Orange tip for transport

That's the basics (might have left something out)

Well technically over here we have to be 18 to buy. We also need the orange tips for transport. Those other two suck though.

Yeah, well it's not all *that* bad. You can have a gun bought for you, so anyone with a UKARA licence could but an RIF for you and parents do buy for kids. It's the same for importing; you need a UKARA. It's just really inconvenient.
