Due to a new CQB field opening in my area, I decided to build a new rifle. Like a lot of you know I am a SEAL fanboy so Im going old school and purchasing an MK18 MOD0.

    GUN: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/aeg/gandp-m4-cqb-r-full-metal-aeg-8mm-gearbox.html

    RISER:http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/accessor...star-mk18-mod-0-30mm-red-dot-sight-mount.html

    LASER:http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/accessor...-peq15-aiming-module-laser-flashlight-bk.html

I've searched quite a bit and don't know what light to use and I'm unsure on dual pressure switches. An older style PEQ isn't going to be used because they are ugly. Im not planning on putting a can on either. Help and input is appreciated.

Sounds good, but nab an FDE PEQ-15 instead of the black one. Additionally, the EGA on the receiver is bugging me... Not to say that G&P is a bad brand or anything like that.

If EGA means the USMC stuff on it, then I understand. Its getting a nice snake skin paint job by the way.:p

EGA= Eagle, Globe, and Anchor. IE the USMC logo.

Be sure to sand down the logo before you paint it, or if it's raised it will still be noticeable.

Thank you. Now about the light. I spent a ton of time looking for one and nothing good or usable has come up.

Well, not best of the best, in looks or quality, but you can just buy a scope mount and put any quality flashlight in it that would fit. More functional

No, I want the gun to be usable for an impression. I really don't want to do makeshift mods.

For what you're doing, any Surefire M300 or M600 torch will do the trick. I believe that element makes some okay ones. Additionally, you could go for a block 1.5 and run a Surefire M3x.

I've seen RS Surefires run for pretty cheap on eBay, so you may want to keep an eye on that.

I'll look on eBay then for the element. Do 1.5s have a 553?

1.5's are the transitional (it's not a real block), so it can have a combination of different parts from either SOPMOD block.

That gun isn't an mk18, it has the KAC free float RAS instead of the 7" RIS you need. Ehobbyasia stocks the correct mk18 mod0. Or at least, I saw it in stock last week.

I'm going to try to replicate the top rifle in the picture. Main difference is I'm going with an m2 instead of an EOtech.

Completely disregard every thing posted above. Sorry guys, but I've changed my mind once again. Due to the impression I'm doing I'll be purchasing some different replicas.

    Primary:

    with:

And lastly an EOTech replica from the local shop.

If i could get my hands on a Navy slide that would be great.

As always tell me what I did wrong UTAG members and other NSW lovers.

Excellent list all around. The only thing you're going to want to swap out is that M6x. You'll want an M3x for the correct light. I wish it weren't so, I have an M6 myself. But as far as I know, it isn't used in the teams at all. Everything else looks good, and the 416 is awesome. I love mine.

Sweet. Thanks Knief. Do I need to change the stock for a regular crane or Magpul CTR? I haven't seen any SEALs with the HK specific stock.

No, they use the HK stock. It's not quite as common as the LMT SOPMOD stock, but it's definitely in use. Somewhere in one of our many impression threads, Grin posted a picture of a big group of SEALs and about half of them had 416s with the HK stock.

    [edit] Found it:
Front left, front row second from the right, middle row second from the right, and top left on the flag
