Although I agree with you that KJW>WE.
There is a problem. 40% of the people that say WEs suck have never owned one. First hand experience is always better because
    1. it won't lead to undeserved exaggerated hate.
    2. So factual information is given, not theoretical.

OP: If it will only be a secondary/sidearm, any KJW, some WEs (a sidearm would be a last resort, no need for top of the line), and maybe some non-blowbacks (those are more gas efficient and generally cost less).

Well, if your looking to save up a little more, you can get a nice KWA for around a 150$, but it's your choice, I'm going off what people told me, because I almost bought a WE but I posted on here and people said not to and just go for a better gun.

KWA GBBPs are nice but the mags are expensive and kind of make them not worth it for the price in my opinion.

Yea, but any good CO2 or green gas pistol will run around 25.00 to 40.00 from what I seen.

Most new pistols for under 40 are not that great. You must not have seen a lot?

If you're rarely going to use your sidearm and your budget is around $100. KJW if you can, but there's little harm in going with WE if you prefer their models better. Like the new X-Tactical or F226
