Based on what I've read, I think I've got my parts right for my build, just looking for confirmation.
Goals: under 350fps, at least 20rps (mainly used in CQB).

    SHS HT motor
    m110/120 spring, brand TBD
    18:1 gears JG
    Short stroke 2-3 teeth
    7.4v lipo

I will be shimming, AoE, 16awg wiring, deans, MOSFET

Let me know if I have anything wrong or if you suggest something better.

Those parts should get the job done very well.

Youll probably end up a bit shy of 20rps. Not that youre really going to notice the difference of 2rps but you should consider 16:1 gears instead.

I was thinking about that, but this leaves me room if I bump up to a 11.1 battery.

Nice parts list!! Will you be using semi only at these CQB games? This gun will cycle really fast.

Yeah it's semi only indoors. When I do play outdoors though, I do want something decent though.

Does anyone have experience with the Lonex shells? I'm planning on one of those and was curious how spacious they are for 16awg wiring? My current JG is pretty snug!

Yeah the lonex shell is nice! It will fit 16awg wire just fine. I would however recommend getting Alpha Eco wire, it is slim and low resistant. Here is a link, Its only like $3+shipping:

By the way look at the two wire sets in the middle.

What is your reason for buying a new gearbox? The stock gearbox will hold up fine for this low stress build. If it is only dew to the wires not fitting than just buy the eco wire, it will fit in the smallest of small channels.

Thanks for the link. This is a whole new gearbox, I want to keep my existing one intact and it will eventually end up in a different gun.

FOr semi only, get some 13:1 gears and a high TPA can, get that trigger response, and practice your trigger spamming. Just a little suggestion.

13:1 gears with a m110 spring and a 7.4-11.1 lipo, will cause all kinds of over spin. So i would just stick with the 18:1 gear ratio, and fyi any gun with a half decent setup running an m110 spring will have great trigger response.

Please explain, I'd say it is most definitely true.

I see what you mean I changed it, I meant to say that with an m110 spring but I left that out. MB thanks!!

You have no idea what youre talking about. With a 15tpa lonex a1 i didnt get a single double feed with an m120 on an 11.1v.

Yeah I would say it is true.. At least that's been the case with about 80% of the 15+ rifles I have owned...

It wasn't true until he fixed it. It's better now.
