Ok guys well I have finished my gun build internally and externally and, while I do run deans, I still use my old 9.6v 1600mah batteries. I get a good rof (26-30rps) and a pretty decent trigger response. I was wondering about switching to LiPo batteries and the advantages they would have for my gun (parts list below).

I would like to know if wiring my gun to 16ga wires and adding a MOSFET unit in it just to be able to use a 11.1v LiPo will make a significant difference over my 9.6v 1600mah.

    1. With the below build, will I get a faster rof with a 9.6v 1600mah or a 7.4v 25c 2200mah?
How fast do you think each will go? (Roughly)
    2. Which c-dump would you recommend for a 11.1v 2000mah LiPo battery on my build <20? <30? <40? (include 16ga wires and a MOSFET)

*anything not listed is stock DBoys v2 7mm gearbox
    -guarder sp110 spring
-matrix steel v2 spring guide w/bearings
-Lonex POM piston head (bearings removed)
-angel custom ribbed cylinder (455mm barrel)
-modify air nozzle (for SCAR series)
    -matrix 16:1 gearset
    -SHS 7mm bushings
    -Lonex A1 TITAN motor
    -shim (based on spur gear)
    -AOE correction
    -grease gears and piston/cylinder

Anyone else notice how there is literally 4 "is my gun lipo ready" threads in the last 10 minuets?

Yeah, if it's not a "DMR" or DSG thread, it's a Li-po thread. Are people afraid of search engines these days?

Just LiPo it and be done. 11.1 baby. I'm rocking one in my upgraded DBoys. I've loved it.

I will prob go down that route, my real reason for asking this is if I get an 11.1v I know I have to rewire to at least 16ga wiring and add a MOSFET unit in also so my trigger contacts don't fry. I just don't know if doing all that is worth it, like how much of a difference will I get from my current 9.6v 1600mah?

Trigger response is sweet. And the ROF does go up. IMO it's totally worth it. But DO get the MOSFET to save the trigger contacts. I thought mine would last, and they just went out.

If you want a rough estimate of your RoF with an 11.1V, just add 10 RPS and you should be within a few BPS. Lol

The ROF on this build may top 40 RPS with a 11.1v 50C burst Lipo. I wouldn't doubt it, actually. If not, it'll be in the high 30s. Go Lipo or go home.

thanks all, usually I do search the threads before making one but my phone didn't come up with any that (after reading a couple pages of replies) helped me out with my question. I am on my computer now so I should be good, will let you know if anything else comes up.
