Honestly about 85% of aegs "bolt" is not functional. But to my knowledge I belive most of vfc's bolt catches actually function. You may want to look into them( great quality ) but if I were you I'd just keep the one you have

I believe King Arms? made anupper reciever that has a functional bolt catch. That or if you can find a VFC one, it would have it.

So the bolt catch on the VFC is functional? Like does it work as a real steel, as in when the magazine runs out, yadadada.

No, there are very few AEGs on the market that can do that. All it does is when you pull the charging handle back, the fake bolt gets locked into position and you have to press the bolt catch to release it.

if I could find one like that it would be marvelous. but I just wand one that when I pull back the charging handle the dust cover opens and exposes the hopup behind the bolt.
