High School Airsoft Club, little help here

Next year in my high school I am starting an airsoft club. I thought that only 10-15 people would be interested, I was wrong. We got more like 60. My JROTC teacher is advising the club, so uniforms won't be a problem. But other than that how am supposed to supply all these people?

You're not. Every club I've been in you provided your own supplies. Same applies to airsoft. Go to fields that have rental guns. If you have some spares you can loan out, that's great too. But eventually the rest of the members will need to acquire their own gear.

If the club has school support and a bit of club funding you might be able to buy bulk BB's for the club to use as well as a few loaner guns for folks that brought a friend along to try out the sport.

But, that's down-the-road stuff. For now, just have folks bring their own gear and set requirements on FPS/MED/Eye-pro.
Might reach out to some brands or web storefronts and say hey we're a sanctioned club with 60+ founding members - would they have any interest in sponsoring your team? Don't expect much, but I wouldn't be to surprised if they'd send some consumables your way. If you have or can build a decent social media footprint before contacting them it'll definitely help; if you can say you have X followers on Instagram who'll see an evike etc patch on your uniforms every time you upload, that's attractive to marketing departments.

Might check if your school can place 'business' orders for you on certain items, might be able to save a bit on BBs Gas etc if you can buy them directly from G&G or whomever instead of paying retail.

Might also see if you can get your JROTC teacher to explore the possibility of getting a grant to help found the team - that's right up their alley.

I think it's a great idea, but I hate to be that guy...
At least one parent will object to school funds buying replica weapons. And if they are the evil AR platform? Crom's bones!

Your club would possibly find greater success if they supplied their own platforms. But if club monies were used to repair/replace parts to resurrect a boneyard item to be used as a loner.
Starting an airsoft club in your high school with such a large number of interested participants is exciting! While supplying equipment for 60 people might seem challenging, there are a few approaches you can consider to manage the logistics:
  1. Seek sponsorships or partnerships: Reach out to local airsoft retailers, fields, or businesses that may be interested in supporting your club. They may be willing to provide discounts, donations, or even sponsorships to help supply equipment for your members.
  2. Equipment rental: If purchasing equipment for all 60 members is not feasible, you can explore the option of renting equipment from local airsoft fields or retailers. Renting equipment can be a cost-effective solution, especially if you plan to meet and play at designated airsoft fields.
  3. Peer-to-peer sharing: Encourage members who already own airsoft equipment to share or lend their gear to others during club activities. This can help distribute the available equipment among the larger group.
  4. Fundraising and budgeting: Organize fundraising activities within the club or in collaboration with your school to generate funds specifically for purchasing airsoft equipment. Consider options such as bake sales, car washes, or partnering with local businesses for fundraising events.
  5. Group purchases: Contact airsoft retailers or distributors to inquire about group discounts for bulk purchases. By coordinating a group purchase, you may be able to secure more affordable prices for a larger quantity of equipment.
  6. Gradual expansion: Start with smaller-scale activities or games where a subset of the members can participate at a time. This way, you can manage the equipment requirements more easily and gradually expand as you acquire additional gear.
Remember to prioritize safety and ensure that all participants have the necessary protective gear, such as goggles or face masks, to prevent any injuries during airsoft activities.
It's also essential to establish clear rules and guidelines for equipment usage, maintenance, and responsibility to ensure the longevity and proper care of the equipment.
By combining these approaches and being resourceful, you should be able to effectively supply equipment for your airsoft club and create an enjoyable experience for all the members. Good luck with your club, and have fun playing airsoft!
