I just got myself a gopro knockoff (sjcam sj4000) and have found a video that does a bb test on the camera. Most of the waterproof housing can take bbs like a champ, but they shatter the case's lens (not the actual cam lens though). How often do you guys find your gopros being shot, especially on the lens? Should I get lexan to cover it just in case?

They make filter adapter rings that fit some of the water proof cases.
That is what I use.
I took a DSLR filter , removed the original filter and replaced it with a 1/4 circle of Lexan.
It has taken a lot of shots .

When the Lexan gets scratched up just replace the Lexan.
