I'm trying to change the spring of my snow wolf m4 and once I've got to the part where I remove the gearbox from the lower, we'll... it won't come out, I've removed all the pins and the bolt catch but now the only thing that prevents me from removing the gearbox is the ambidextrous selector switch, I've tried to put it on semi but the gearbox just won't come off and I don't know how to remove the selector switch since it doesn't have a screw on neither side. Can someone help me with this?

The mag catch needs to be out too.

The ambidextrous switches have gears on the backside that basically lock it in, the ones I have worked on had screws on the switches to remove to take it apart. However after looking at photos I don't see if yours has that same design.

The right side bolt catch needs lightly lifted away when you do take it apart because it likes to snag.


Just don't force anything.

I've alredy removed the mag catch and i've alredy tried to lift the right side bolt release, but the gearbox just won't come out and both selector switches doesn't have a screw, I have no idea on what could be stuck

can you throw up a picture of the ambi side? Try to get the little crack between the gearbox and the receiver so we can see if theres gears in there. Might be a way to pop it off

Yes, there are gears behind the right side switch

it looks like you can pry the cover off and maybe theres a screw under it. hard to say without having in hand

I feel dumb now, I've alredy tried to pry the cover with a flathead screwdriver but failed, tried again with a butter knife and popped out in a second... thank you for the helping hand
