    SOLVED: ICS M4 Locking Up

My ICS was firing before I took the motor out, then I put it back in.

Now, when I put the motor in the gears lock up. I tried adjusting the motor height.

As soon as the pinion hits the bevel gear everything just locks up.

The gun was firing fine before I took out the motor.

I had plenty of trouble when I took my gearbox out of my gun (albeit a JG). You might want to just go through and make sure everything is lining up correctly. It might be something as simple as you didn't screw something in all of the way or it didn't seat right. And with the motor height, as much as I have heard it can be reeeeeeally finicky and it might just take a little more fine tuning/adjusting.

Let me ask you this, do you have the motor wires connected right? You might have them on backwards and the motor could be turning the wrong way.

Even when the connectors are completely off it just locks.

What do you mean by that?

The Red + Black wire connectors to the motor tabs.

Even when the motor is disconnected but in the pistol grip the gears don't move. But as soon as I take the motor off the bevel everything spins perfectly.

Yes but what I'm saying is your motor could be spinning backwards, witch could be causing the lock up

Have you tried using a different battery?

Yeah see if that's what going on, it should be spinning counter clockwise I think

It spins fine clockwise and counter clockwise.

If this is the case then shouldn't I still be able to move the gears with the motor in?^

Only if its spinning counter clockwise, if you put it in spinning clockwise, the anti reversal latch will catch the gears and stop them because it will be trying to turn the wrong way.

Swap the way you plugged the motor wires. Can I get a picture of what you have going on now?
