For the money that he’s clearly willing to spend (or unwilling, actually…), it comes down between the JG and the A&K SR25s. Apparently the consensus is that the JG will last a little longer, but the A&K will perform better out of the box, so whichever one suits his needs more is the one I’d go with.

I had a A&K m4d1. The motor broke within a week and the dust cover wouldn't open. I wouldn't buy on of there guns again unless it was the m249. I would get a G&P or Troy over A&K any day.

Most likely... I still wouldn't get a A&K again though.

    Sorry for the double post….
Anyway, bud, tell your friend to save himself the money and get a CYMA M14. They run about $120 - $130 and have at LEAST the range of the A&K and JG SR25s, if not more. Not to mention that they’ll last for-e-var and are tons cheaper...…..

I'm pretty sure that ACM is a category of all Chinese manufactured airsoft guns.

They are decent, but good for the price. My little bro got one for $100 several years ago and it's only had a few minor problems with stock parts.

But don't JG&A&k fit into that category then?

    Let’s get back on topic.
The fact is, this guy A) wants to know if a&k is any good and B) wants a long ranged cheap rifle. I’d say The A&K SR25 is decent, but the CYMA M14 is worth it more.

JG's (And Echo 1) SR25 is a joke. If you have it down between these two, take the A&K. It's a clone of the G&P/CA with the V2.5 gearbox. that has the extended cylinder and 19 tooth piston. JG's is pretty much all V2 inside a proprietary GB shell.
Matrix is the EXACT same as alot of those brands. Evike just slaps "Matrix" on most their ACM (All China Made) products so it doesn't seem like Chinese crap to inexperienced people that have a misconception that if it is made in China, it sucks. I know for a FACT that Matrix is a direct Evike rebrand for certain AIM, AGM, Cyma, A&K, and JG (There's probably more, and this isn't even counting parts like gearsets and motors.)
