I'm planning to embark on a vsr-10 based build soon. I plan to start with a clone rifle and put the time and money into upgrading. I've been eyeballing 4 different rifles as the base: Well MB03, JG Bar-10, CSI G-Spec, and the Double Eagle VSR clone.
The Bar-10 seems to have been the go to for many during the ten years I've been involved in Airsoft, but it tends to be the most expensive of the bunch and seems to frequently go out of stock. I have seen plenty of reviews saying the Well is good enough for an upgrade base and what little bit of information I've dug up on the CSI has generally been positive. I've not found much information about the Double Eagle to point me in either direction.
With all that said, I'd like to hear from owners of these guns-especially anyone who has owned more than one of them. If I'm going to practically gut them out anyway, do any of these have an inherit superiority (fit, finish, etc.),or should I just go with the cheapest to divert more money to upgrade parts?
