Is this hacksaw capable of sawing off an orange tip on a KWA m1911 mkII?

NO!!!! Use a jap saw. You get so much more of a smooth cut, furniture builders (the ones that make art) use them.
You could just remove it the normal way, buy unscrewing the orange tip and save your self some time.
Too bad it's painted on the barrel, eh?
Why not disassemble, tape and paint? I painted my entire SVD that way. It's really not hard at all.
field strip > drop the tip in acetone > rub paint away > finished
now thats no fun ,.,.,,..,...,

Lol!!! Have a dremel handy? If not I'd invest in one, really you'll find tons of uses for one besides this.
