Brill has ASG .4g for $16 FYI. I think they're OEM'd by BLS, so they should be some of the best .4g BB's out there. Mine are very nice.

So I have a couple of JG gspecs, 1 has AA parts and the other has AA parts but a bulltrigg + trigger and a sniper mechanic Wasp piston, both have Skeees TDC mods and are running a left hand receiver and bolt. The JG with all AA parts has a M170 cut down so the piston rests just beyond the end of the cylinder, that way it cuts down the slam sound, the mock suppressor is foam filled and shoots 498/504 with 25s. I can hit a tin plate 14x8 at a distance of 255 ft (measured) using 45s sometimes 3 times in a row with a slight climb towards the end of its flight. The other JG has an uncut m170 sparing but as I am using the WASP in its weighted mode I get the same FPS and accuracy but higher Joules. If I swap the gspec upper out and use a 470 inner barrel I get about 540 FPS with 25; using the same cylinder set up

Thats good to know. Ive been suspicious that some of the floaters are due to dust in the barrel. 6.01s arent very forgiving. I also need to fix a bit of the barrel spacers. Vibration could be affecting things. All in all though, its extremely accurate at under 150ft. I was able to hit a popped balloon at 150 ft 3 times in a row a couple weeks ago. After 200ft is a bit more iffy though. i think ill try a m140 to toe the fps line.
should a sorbo pad be used in basr's?

BLS 0.43 bio bb's ..imho theyre very consistent. i was just looking into the finish and they seem more matte/textured than any other of my 0.2-0.3g's. those are more polished and slick.

paid $57 for 3000 so very similar.

yeah.. not sure the diameter of the stock brass barrel, but a polished stock barrel is no slouch it seems!

not sure if you can't use a sorbo. stock the bar10 uses an air brake which i wish i kept. it was sooooper quiet and different sound signature, but i heard it stole volume. I checked FPS in stock form and it didnt seem to do anything but make it louder (*stock spring, not tested with heavier bb's)

I dont see the need for one unless your trying to quiet things down/decreasing air volume ratio. if for sound, a foam silencer might do more for the signature.

    what kind of hop/packing setup?

i electric taped my 2 stock barrel spacers, then the third one is on the threaded tip using an o-ring.

Very possible. Sam Liggat has an EdGI 5.98x600(?)mm barrel in his PSG-1, so if you keep it very clean and stabilized well you should be fine.
They can be, if you don't already you should have some sort of shock reduction.

theres debates on wide bore barrels vs TBB with truths on both sides. theres a whole thread on airsoft sniper forums.

as for shock reduction, i would think it may help with vibration before the bb exits? although it shouldnt impact before the bb exits. if its for longevity sake, the stock JG head and cylinder can take a beating unlike the vsr10 head and cylinder.

dude sold him a 'stock' gun falling apart missing a crucial screw. ratchet paint job.

i smoothened up the action, glued the trigger box, tightened up the magwell, high durability paint job, centered the barrel. 410fps on .2g

here it is next to the tac41. printed a more toned down thread protector. used a shorter TDC screw and recessed into the base. also printed a magazine caddy (faux magazine)

    its a performer!
