Do you think a KA M4(370-400 FPS) and 3-9x40 scope is a good build?
If you mean base for a build yeah I guess but as a build uh no.
Well yeah later I might get an higher FPS for it, add a RIS, bipod, take the scope out and add in a red dot and a optic magnifier, and maybe a barrel extention. Other gear is M4 chest rig molle, dozen mags, and other miscellaneous items.
how is that a build? you're just putting a scope on an m4
Of course the essential minor upgrades to increase the FPS as well.
Here's my main question, what "minor upgrades" do I need and don't need?
Not really any unless you want to, KA m4s stock are perfectly fine.
What about if I add 500fps spring? What other upgrades do I need? Metal Bushings? New piston head?
metal bushings, full steel tooth piston, possibly a new motor, a 500 fps spring will put alot of strain on your motor and gearbox. Not sure how the KA spring guide is, but that may need to be replaced. Is there a reason to go to 500 fps? i would say keep it closer to a 430-450 range. but if you feel like going that high, be prepared for parts to wear alot faster.
No there wasn't a reason, I just estimated. I will consider your idea. How much will it costs for upgrades?
Bro, all I can say right now is go read some build threads and come back here. Do you know what AOE. is? What about the flat hop mod? What about an r hop? Have you ever built an AEG before? If not, a DMR build is not the ideal first build.
Then post up a tentative list and we can critique it and tell you what won't work. What is your budget? What are your goals?
All I know is the basics but I will learn, thanks bro.
