This thread is meant to discuss your present/past experiences with modifications and accessories you've had/have on your King Arms Galil, whether it be the SAR, MAR, or ARM. Although this may be to some disappointment of seperate brand Galil owners, I'm trying to keep this as useful as possible, and changing brand experiences would be too confusing to the reader.

This means if you're posting on this thread then you've got one of these:
Vehicle Aircraft Font Aviation Trigger

You can post anything you've ever done to a KA Galil, from internal swaps to magazine adaptations- It doesn't matter. Even if you only ever had ideas, they're just as appreciated. The purpose of this thread is to make the availability of certain mods known to the general public, which they can use towards their own Galil modifications.

That being said, I hope this thread can get some good information on the KA Galil's mod potential. It may not be the most popular weapon on the field, but your input would still be greatly appreciated.. by us and future Galil users.

Thanks guys- SubSnake.

I'm disappointed to see this thread has failed. The KA Galil is just such a rare field weapon.. Sigh. :(

Sadly its a very unpopular platform due to the non existance of aftermarket parts.
I had the MAR version, I was more than happy with stock external and internal quality but after weeks of searching for aftermarket external upgrades, it soon became clear that I would have to turn to real steel for the likes of side mounts and and tactical handguards,,,,not cheap at all.

I had to sell mine as a result of financial trouble, as new condition with a bargain basement price and I still got little or no interest in it.
Eventualy traded it for a TM L96 and sold that for cash.

RIS seems to dominate the airsoft world these days, the Galil seems to be suffering as a result.
Such a shame as the KA and ICS Galil's are stunning bits of kit.

need some help with my king arms galil

Hi guys. I own a King Arms AR Galil. I modded it so that it would have a higher ROF and FPS. It currently has a FPS of 470. Here comes my problem: The field I want to play in has a FPS limit of 400. I need to find a way to lower my FPS without spending that much money as I have already spent a lot to mod my Galil. I tried searching using Google, but couldn't find any answers.

Thanks in advance. :D

About to Mod Mine

I'm about to mod mine a bit. I'll post pics, when it is done. Pictures of its current status are attached.

I bought mine about 7 years ago, but had no good fields to play. Discovered a field recently and have been disappointed with various guns, including my Ares Tavor, purchased at the same time (I think it has a bad bucking). Gave my Galil a try, with its 7 year old battery, and have been thoroughly pleased with it, though it is on the heavier side.

One thing that disappoints about it is the fragile plastic fuse compartment, upon which function of the gun depends. Electrical tape fixes that.

I am For Better Airsoft on YouTube and the Admin Officer for The Replacement Battery airsoft team.

The King Arms Galil flashhider appeared to be pinned and glued. After lots of muscling and dremeling, WD40 broke it free. Mounted a G&G tracer unit for night games at Raptor Airsoft Field in Deland, FL, USA. More dremeling on the front and back edges of an ICS Galil railed receiver cover in order to get it to fit the King Arms.

I approve of this necro-post. Love Galils.
